About Astro Clash

A drop-and-merge game about growing a jar of worlds. One tap to drop, identical bodies fuse into the next size up, and the run ends when the jar overflows. Simple to learn in ten seconds, hard to put down.

What it is

You hold a small celestial body above a jar, aim, and release. When two identical bodies touch they merge into the next one in the chain, from Dust all the way up to a Supergiant. The pile climbs, the physics gets tense, and one careless drop can end a run. There are six ways to play: Endless, a shared Daily Jar with one attempt, a ninety second Blitz, Target for the fewest drops to a Star, Zen with no overflow, and a Weekly mode with a fresh mutator every week.

Who made it

Astro Clash is a lab project from Axionic, a technology consultancy that reviews and builds software for companies that need it to hold up under pressure. We built the game to test a simple idea: that a retro, one-input game with real physics, a daily shared challenge and honest leaderboards could be fun on the web, on phones and eventually on consoles from one codebase.

It runs in the browser and as native apps for iOS and Android from the same engine. Leaderboard scores are verified by replaying every run on the server with the same physics, so what you see on the boards was actually played.

Fair play

Every ranked run carries its full input log. Our server replays it and only ranks scores that reproduce exactly. Rewarded continues are recorded in that log and limited to one per run. The Daily Jar and Target modes show no ads and allow no continues, so everyone plays the same jar on the same terms.
