Privacy policy
Effective 13 September 2026
Astro Clash is built to be played without an account. This page explains what little we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
Who we are
Astro Clash is operated by Axionic ("we", "us"). You can reach us at axionic.agency/contact.
What we collect
Game data stored on your device
Your best scores, settings, a display name you choose, and a random device identifier are stored locally in your browser or on your phone. They never leave the device unless you submit a run to the leaderboard.
Leaderboard submissions
When a ranked run ends, the game sends your chosen display name, the random device identifier, the mode, the date, the score and the complete list of moves you made to our leaderboard service, which is hosted on Supabase. We replay the moves on the server to verify the score. The display name and score are shown publicly on the leaderboards. The device identifier is random, is not linked to your name, email or any account, and is used only to keep one best run per player. We do not store your IP address in the leaderboard database.
Analytics
We use PostHog and Google Analytics 4 to understand how the game is played: which modes are started, how long sessions last, whether people share results. Events are tied to the same random device identifier. PostHog is configured without session recording or automatic capture. Google Analytics uses cookies and is loaded on the web version only; it starts with advertising storage and personalisation switched off. You can turn all analytics off with the Analytics switch on the game's main menu, and that choice is remembered.
Advertising
The web version shows our own banners and, where enabled, ads served by Google AdSense. The iOS and Android apps show ads served by Google AdMob, and offer a purchase that removes them. These ad services may use cookies or device identifiers to serve and measure ads. In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom you will be asked for consent before personalised ads are shown, and ads are non-personalised until you give it. Google's use of advertising data is described in Google's privacy and terms. Daily Jar and Target modes never show ads.
Purchases
In the mobile apps, purchases are processed by Apple or Google and managed through RevenueCat. We receive a purchase record tied to the random device identifier and never see your payment details.
Sharing and challenge links
Sharing a result or a challenge creates text or a link on your device. Nothing is sent to us. A challenge link contains the moves of your run, so anyone you send it to can replay that run.
What we do not collect
No accounts, no email addresses, no names other than the display name you type, no contacts, no location, no photos. We do not sell personal data.
Children
Astro Clash is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted a display name to the leaderboard, contact us and we will remove it.
Retention
Leaderboard runs are kept so that all-time boards stay accurate. Analytics data is kept for the retention period configured in each tool, currently up to 14 months for Google Analytics. Data on your device stays until you clear your browser storage or uninstall the app.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, to object to processing, or to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Because we identify players only by a random identifier, tell us the display name and approximate dates of the runs you want removed and we will remove them. Contact us at axionic.agency/contact. You can also use the Analytics switch in the game and your device's advertising settings at any time.
